BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Becoming a volunteer of Croce Amica Basiglio means joining a lay volunteer association that since 1991 has provided free aid to anyone who needs it and works to make Basiglio and the surrounding municipalities an even better place to live. You will be able to meet people of all ages and different cultures, you will be able to learn to do important things that, perhaps, one day could be good for someone you don't even know now.
1. What is done in Croce Amica?
The activities are as many as the needs and initiatives that may be present in a community: relief and emergency 118 (or 112), social health and accompanying services, assistance to events, training of citizens of all ages.
2. Who can become a Croce Amica volunteer?
Everyone can become a volunteer in Croce Amica: there are no other requirements than wanting to donate part of their free time to help those in need. Everything you need to know as a volunteer will be taught to you in Croce Amica, free of charge.
3. How much time should I dedicate to Croce Amica?
Everyone gives to Croce Amica the time they think they can give. There is no minimum, there is no maximum. The important thing is to seriously carry out the task that has been assigned, on time and in the established ways. Without this requirement it would be impossible to effectively manage the association.
To volunteers who want to become rescuers and go out on our ambulances, we ask their availability to work one night shift a week (from 19.00 to 06.00) and one holiday shift per month (generally on a Sunday, on shifts of about 8 hours)
